A Guide to Kansas City's Autism Community
(Kristin is a mother representing Ca)
For the past several years, Kristin Selby Gonzalez has been on the front lines of autism. Having emerged as a top leader and expert in the autism community, she has been profiled by “Autism File Magazine ”, a leading publication in the field of autism spectrum disorders. Kristin's journey with Jaxson brought her to Enzymedica (click here to read the compelling story of this union), where she was their Director of Autism Education. Kristin joined Enzymedica in 2008. As the company's primary link to the autism community, she has advised Enzymedica with respect to company policy and product formulation for children on the spectrum, and counseled directly with parents on the use of Enzymedica's products. As of September 2012, she has stepped down from her post at Enzymedica, and will continue to lead Enzymedica's philanthropic work at the Autism Hope Alliance where she now serves as President/Chairman. In 2010, Kristin’s DVD titled “Let’s Go Shopping: Special Foods for Special Needs” was officially released. The first-of-its-kind DVD was filmed on-site at three well-known organic food markets and provides families with shopping and dietary information that can be used immediately. While continuing to seek her son’s full recovery from autism, she constantly reminds others that “Recovery is possible” and that “Progress for one inspires hope for all."
